Make Code 39 barcodes
in SAP Crystal Reports
Printing Code 39 (sometimes called code 3 of 9) barcodes in Crystal Reports projects is easy using Azalea C39Tools barcode software and our custom-built UFL (User Function Library). Our software is compatible with all versions of Crystal Reports.
Using the UFL in Crystal is an easy two step process: you pass your data into our UFL and then format the returned string of text into one of our Code 39 barcode fonts. The UFL adds the start and stop characters and calculates any necessary check digits for you.
User Function Library
The Azalea UFL for Crystal Reports is made up of two custom barcode .dlls called u25azalea.dll and u212azalea.dll. The UFL and a set of nine different Azalea Code 39 fonts are bundled with Crystal Reports 2008 & Crystal Reports 2011.
For the full complement of alphanumeric and full ASCII Code 39 barcodes and comprehensive license coverage, the UFL comes included in our C39Tools software. If you'd like to install the UFL manually, follow the directions below.
32-bit UFL
• For standard installation, save the two .dlls to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports
• For .NET framework, save the .dlls to:
4.0\Common\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86

Use this free sample code to set up your report workflow; you'll need the barcode fonts included in the C39Tools software package when you're ready to save and print the final barcodes.
We have two how-to guides that you can download for Crystal Reports 2008 or earlier versions: Crystal Reports 2008 and earlier versions of Crystal Reports.
